Food for Thought.... my $.02 cents:

Talk about a good investment:

For those of you currently or thinking about working in the numerous (too many to mention) direct marketing companies out there, I want to give you my $.02 cents.

My list of top 5 must-have's to have a successful business:

    1. Business Cards 
Yes, I bet you are thinking not everyone needs a business card to have successful business but I am here to tell you that you are wrong. Business cards offer so much more than just your company information. Let's say you are at a doctor's office full of potential customers and you are caught without your business catalog or samples. (yep, we have all been there) hectic day and you left without filling up your bag or purse with the most vital materials you need to share your business with others.
A business card is small and easy to stash in your purse or wallet. Best and affordable place to make your own business cards is VistaPrint. They have a 50% OFF sale going on now through July 28th. Take advantage of it!  I just did. I purchased magnets, brochures and more business cards. :)

     2. Catalogs
This is a two fold for business cards noted above. Catalogs are a must.... I don't know about you but if I wanting to purchase or am interested in a product I would like to see it or next best thing see a full color catalog. And if you think that you can just use the website.... remember there are still folks out that that do not have internet or know how to use a computer or phone! Those folks are typically called grandparents. hee hee. (just kidding)

    3. Samples
Ok, not every business offers products that they can have samples of, so for those that do, samples are key to sharing the product. Have them packaged well and in good condition. No ones wants a melted piece of wax or a leaking sample of perfume. ewwwww!

    4. Internet
If you do not have access to internet... you better make sure you have awesome verbal skills because that is how you will be tell folks about your business......with today's technology age... internet is being used for website, blogs, shopping pages, auction sites... the list goes on and on.

Last but not lease... 5. Social Media (be knowledgable)
Social media is on the rise. Nowadays a person just needs to have a Facebook page or blog and they can host a show and have well more than enough attendees to their show, from all around the world. 50 people couldn't fit in my dinky living room, and it's great to not have to clean or even be dressed to host a party.... hee hee!
