I have had an ASUS computer for about 1 1/2 years now. I noticed the USB ports in the front after 1 yr began becoming a little touchy, like when I would plug something in there was a faulty connection. Seeing that it was only 1yr since I had the unit I took it back to Frys to have it repaired under warranty of course. That is why I buy the extended warranty on anything I buy, just for this type of reason.
SO I get to Fry's and they said "the USB is not part of the warranty" I was like, WTH are you kidding me! It's not a piece of the computer that I can repair myself or remove so why wouldn't it be under warranty?
Needles to say .... since that incident the other USB ports in the back of the computer has also began to fail.
I will never purchase another ASUS again!!!
That's it... I'm done with my soap box.
